Wellness money is in your health plan. Most leave it on the table.

Cigna, Aetna and Anthem group plans usually include an employer wellness fund. It resets with your plan year, and most of it goes unspent. We help you spend it on a day your team actually shows up for.

Three carriers, three funds

How does wellness fund reimbursement work?

This is not coming out of your budget. Your carrier has already set the money aside for wellness, and it renews every plan year. A lot of teams never get to use it, simply because they do not know it is there.

Cigna

Calls it the

Health Improvement Fund

Renews every plan year. Unused balances do not roll over.

Aetna

One question to ask your carrier

“What is our current wellness-fund balance, when does our plan year end, and who is our wellness consultant?”

We’ll help you ask it

How eligibility works

Two categories your carrier already funds.

Carriers reimburse what they file under stress management and group exercise. Everything on the menu sits in one of the two. Beauty and headshots do not, so they are not on this page.

Got questions?

What HR asks us about wellness funds before the first visit.

What is an employer wellness fund?

Cigna, Aetna and Anthem set money aside in most plans for employer wellness activity. Cigna calls it the Health Improvement Fund, Aetna the Wellness Allowance, Anthem the Wellness Fund; brokers often call it wellness dollars or wellness credits. It renews every plan year, and it is not part of your budget.
